Oregon BEST names business advisory board

The Oreogn Built Environment & Sustainable Technologies Center named 12 business executives Monday to oversee its commercialization program, including the distribution of $225,000 in commercialization grants.

The new board will review applications and make recommendations for grants which will be paid out to three $75,000 grant recipients early next year. According to Oregon BEST, the grants are aimed at startups and research groups with a cleantech product likely to lead to Oregon jobs.

After the grants are announced, Oregon BEST will help connect the selected teams with technical, business and financial resources as well as its network of research facilities and 180 faculty members from Oregon universities.

The new advisory board includes:
